Xolo A1000 with 5-inch HD display, Jelly Bean now available online for Rs. 13,999

It's becoming quite common for devices to get listed with popular online retailers close to their official launch date. One such device is the Xolo A1000 that is now available on Flipkart in a white variant for a price of Rs. 13,999. The delivery details show shipping time of 7-8 days.

(Update: The phone has now been officially launched for Rs. 13,999. It will be available in a black version as well).

The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Xolo A1000 will be the latest device in the Xolo series, which is expected to officially launch on February 18 2013 priced between Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 15,000. It is the first 5-inch device from the company and marks its entry into the phablet arena. The Xolo A1000 will also be directly competing with the recently launched Micromax A116 Canvas HD priced at Rs.13,990 on the company's official website.

Specs wise, the Xolo A1000 deploys one glass solution (OGS) and is just 8.8 mm thick. It sports a 5-inch 720p IPS display. Internally, the phone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Mediatek MT6577 processor as seen in the the Xolo A700 and Xolo A800. The Micromax A116 Canvas HD boasts a bigger 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6589 quad-core processor.

Other specs on the Xolo A1000 include 1GB RAM, an 8-megapixel autofocus rear snapper with LED flash, a 1.2-megapixel front camera and a 2,100 mAh battery powering this phone. The device will support dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality. There's 4GB of internal storage with additional expansion support for upto 32GB via microSD. 

Connectivity options on the device include the usual Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, USB and GPRS. It comes pre-installed with the stock Android and Opera Mini web browsers.

On the other hand, the Micromax A116 Canvas HD is seen running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean straight out of the box and comes with a 2,000mAh battery. It features a 5-inch HD IPS screen that sports a 1280x720 resolution and a colour depth of 16.7 million.

Cameras include an 8-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and 4X zoom and a VGA front one. Other features of the smartphone are 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to up to 32GB via microSD card. It is a dual-SIM smartphone like the Xolo A1000, which supports GSM frequency on both the SIMs.

Currently other offerings in the Xolo series include the Xolo A700, Xolo A800, Xolo A500, Xolo X500and the Xolo X900.
