Apple, Samsung, BlackBerry devices set to get Pentagon nod

The Pentagon is expected to clear Apple, Samsung and BlackBerry mobile devices for use on Defense Department networks in the next few weeks, part of an effort to ensure the military has access to the latest communications technology, a spokesman said on Wednesday. The decision will set the stage for an intensified struggle for Pentagon customers among BlackBerry devices, Apple's iPhones or iPads and units using Google's Android platform such as Samsung Electronics' phones. The Pentagon currently has some 600,000 users of smart phones, computer tablets and other mobile devices. The Pentagon unveiled a plan in February aimed at giving the military services a much broader range of choices among mobile devices. Zync launches three new tablets price between Rs.5990 & Rs.13990

To keep up with the increasing competition in the tablet market, Zync has launched threenew tablets. The new tablets, the Zync Dual 7.0, the Zync Quad 8.0 and the Zync Quad 9.7 are all sub 14K range tablets, thus scoring on the price tag. Interestingly all the three tabs are named after the number of cores in the processor anddisplay size. Hence the Dual 7.0 has a dual core processor with a 7 inch display while the Zync Quad 8.0 and Zync Quad 9.7 have a quad core processor with 8 inch and 9.7 inch displays respectively. All the three Zync tabs are powered by Android Jelly Bean OS (v 4.1). Sadly none of the tablets have SIM card capabilities and are exclusively running on Wi-Fi. Also the Bluetooth module is missing in all three tablets. Despite the reasonable amount of internal storage, the tablets are still provided with card slots for expanding the memory. Lenovo launch three new Android tablets “Lenovo A1000, A3000 & S6000″

Lenovo has at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) announced the launch of three newAndroid tablets called the Lenovo A1000, A3000 and the S6000, all running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.                                  The Lenovo A1000 and the A3000 both arrive with a 7-inch IPS display and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The Lenovo A1000 (pictured above) is powered by a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor and has large front facing speakers which come along Dolby Digital Plus enhancement, thus making your music-listening and movie-seeing a great experience.
