In August LG officially unveiled its new Optimus L9 which is its new mid-ranged smartphone. The company has now launched this Android based device in the Indian market and it is priced at Rs. 22,000. The device poses a 4.7 inch, 800X480 pixels, IPS display running Android 4.0 topped with Optimus 3.0 UI. The mobile is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor accompanied by PowerVR SGX540 GPU and 1GB DDR2 Ram. It houses 4GB of inbuilt memory which is further expandable by 32GB via Micro SD card. On the camera front it has 5.0 MP rear Autofocus camera with LED Flash and a 0.3 MP front camera for video calling. Though the specifications look promising at this price point, but the mobile will get a tough competition from LG’s own Google branded Nexus 4 which we expect to be available for same price with a way better specifications.
