Intex launches AQUA style with 5.9-inch display for Rs. 11,200

Intex Technologies has added another AQUA smartphone in its product lineup with Intex AQUA Style. Priced at Rs. 11,200, Aqua Style comes with a 5.9-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480X800 pixels.

Intex AQUA Style is a dual-SIM smartphone that supports 3G connectivity on one SIM. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The smartphones is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. There is 4GB of internal storage available on the smartphone, which can be expanded by up to 32 GB via microSD card.

For camera, there is an 8-megapixel rear view camera with flash and 1.3-megapixel one on the front for video calling. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. AQUA

Style comes with 2500mAH battery which as per the company gives talk-time of 3.5 hours and stanby time of about 100 hours.

Popular apps such as Gmail, Nimbuzz, Facebook, WhatsApp, Google Maps and YouTube come pre-installed on Intex AQUA Style.

Intex AQUA Style will be available in black and white colours, through Intex's exclusive retail stores (Intex stores) and popular multi-brand outlets.

To sweeten the deal, the company is offering 4GB microSD card, phone case and a screen guard for free with the purchase of this smartphone.

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar, General Manager - Mobile Business, Intex Technologies said, "Consumers in today's time are very demanding especially when they are spoilt for choice. Since, the price of smartphones has lowered so much, the lifecycle of them is between 6-12 months. Therefore, companies need to continuously upgrade their existing models and at the same time, bring in new models. AQUA Style is one such offering from our Aqua smartphone range which will create a new mass user base for 5.9 inches screen phones. Its unique capacitive touchscreen combined with an array of desired features makes it an ideal choice for consumers between the age group of 15-40 years"
