LG G Flex curved display smartphone's Korea pricing announced

LG has announced the pricing of its first curved display smartphone for the Korean market, the LG G Flex. The South Korean giant stated in a press note that the LG G Flex will be available in Korea starting November 12 and would come at 999,900 Korean Won, which translates to roughly Rs. 59,000. In addition, the company also revealed its plan to release LG G Flex for France via mobile carrier, Orange, next month. However, no pricing details have been announced for France. Recently, a report suggested that LG has plans to globally launch the G Flex curved display smartphone. LG launched the much-awaited G Flex smartphone in October this year. Panasonic launches T11 and P11 quad-core Jelly Bean smartphones

Panasonic has launched two new Android devices- the T11 and P11. The smartphones are available online through e-commerce sites for Rs. 9,520 and Rs. 16,364 respectively. The Panasonic T11 is a sub 10K device with a 4-inch IPS display. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. It has 4 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB via micro SD card slot and a 1500 mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the device boasts of 3G support, dual-SIM, WiFi and Bluetooth. Pantel Technologies to launch three Android smartphones starting Rs. 7,000

In a bid to get share of the fast growing smartphone market, IT hardware company Pantel Technologies will be launching three smartphones in the range of Rs. 7,000 to 15,000 early next month. "We will launch three smartphones in the second week of June. The devices will be in the range of Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 15,000," Pantel Technologies Managing Director Vijender Singh told PTI. The company, which started operations in March 2012, is aiming to sell around 50,000 to 60,000 smartphones every month. It is already manufacturing tablet PCs and sold over five lakh devices in a year. "We have tied up with BSNL to offer attractive data plans for the phones also. The Indian smartphone makers seem to be rushing out their quad-core offerings and Celkon is no different. The company has launched Celkon A119Q Signature HD in the Indian market for Rs. 12,499. Vertu TI luxury phone launched in India for Rs. 6,49,990

The luxury mobile maker Vertu has launched Vertu TI in India. The smartphone has been priced at a whopping Rs. 6,49,990. Vertu TI smartphone looks much like the earlier Vertu smartphone. On the specs side, it comes with a dual-core 1.7GHz processor along with 1GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Note II successor has been making quite a buzz recently. It was being speculated that Samsung Galaxy Note III may come with a 5.9-inch screen. Now, GSMArena via Korea Times is reporting that this is indeed confirmed news. Korea Times mentions that they have picked this information up from Samsung's main parts suppliers. Motorola X Phone surfaces again in purported online render

A nother render of a new Motorola Android smartphone, supposedly the Motorola X phone has surfaced online. Mobile phones focused website, GSM Arena, claims to have received the render with a short description of the specifications, from a person close to the team working on the X Phone. However, there is no way to verify the sender's claim and identity, and whether the image is fake or genuine.  The render shows a Motorola phone that looks very futuristic, featuring what appears to be a curved screen with no bezel, and a thin frame, with a camera lens and sensors towards the top, just fitting in. The UI appears to be stock Android but there are some new widgets for time, weather and battery status. According to the tipster, the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 chipset and will sport a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 768x1280 pixels. Samsung to introduce Galaxy Pocket Neo by May: Report

Samsung is gearing up to launch another affordable Galaxy smartphone - Galaxy Pocket Neo. As per news report in SamMobile, this smartphone will be an entry-level Android smartphone much like the Samsung Galaxy Fame and Galaxy Young. The website also claims that this smartphone will come in two variants, a single SIM version, which will bear the model number GT-S5310 and the DUOS variant, which will be model number GT-S5312. Sony has started rolling out Jelly Bean update for its Xperia J smartphone. Sony users from around the world, including India, are reporting getting this update. Sony India confirms March 6 launch date for Xperia Z

In line with what we reported last month, it's now confirmed that Sony will be making a major announcement related to its flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z, on 6 March 2013. The company has updated its Facebook cover picture teasing the Xperia Z with the 06/03/13 date in bold and an 'Everything is about to change' tagline. A Sony spokesperson also confirmed that the phone is indeed launching on 6 March. Micromax Canvas HD sale crosses 9000 units within 24 hours

The Micromax Canvas HD went on sale yesterday and as we also pointed out in our hands-on of the device, it is amongst the most anticipated smartphones in the country. Micromax has now revealed that the first lot of the device was sold out within 15 minutes as the device went on sale online.Further, the second lot of 300 phones was also sold out in the morning at 9AM with in 15 minutes. The third lot, which was much larger at 1200 started at 12 in the noon and was also sold out with-in 45 minutes. Overall, Micromax says that it has sold 9000 units of the device in less than 24 hours and currently it is selling 25 units per minute. All this has happened only online, as the device is yet to go up for sale with retailers.
