Byond launches B66 smartphone with 5.0-inch display for Rs. 11,499


Byond Tech has added another Android device in its portfolio with Byond B66. This smartphone features a 5.0-inch Capacitive 5 point multi touchscreen with WVGA display. Byond B66 is powered by a 1.2GHz processor accompanied by 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can further be expanded to up to 32GB via a microSD card.

Byond B66 is a dual-SIM smartphone (GSM+GSM), which supports 3G on both the SIMs. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and comes with a 2600mAh battery. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera on-board and VGA one in the front.

This smartphone is available for Rs. 11,499 through popular online shopping website. The device will be available in two colour options - black and white.

The Pune-based company had recently launched B63 smartphone in India. It is also a dual-SIM Android smartphone that is available for a best buy price of Rs. 9,999. The other features of Byond B63 include 4.5-inch qHD (960x540) TFT capacitive touch display, 8-megapixel HD autofocus rear camera and a VGA front camera. This smartphone runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

The company has also shared that it plans to launch two new smartphones in the coming weeks, which will be dubbed B61 and B65. The details of these smartphones will be announced closer to the launch.
