Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 specifications leak online

Nokia is expected to launch two more Lumia smartphones in the near future. These smartphones are dubbed Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 and are expected to see the light of the day at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013.

Nokianesia via postel.go.id has reported that Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 have recently passed certification from Directorate Post & Telecommunication Indonesia, which is an equivalent of FCC in Indonesia. Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 are being touted as the successors of Nokia Lumia 710 and Lumia 510 respectively.

My Nokia Blog has been tipped by an anonymous tipster that The Lumia 720, which is codenamed Zeal will have 4.3-inch ClearBlack display, 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage. It is also likely to have 6-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera. It will support HSPA+ and have a microSD slot.

The site also claims that Lumia 520 will have a 4-inch Super Sensitive screen, 1Ghz dual-core with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and 5-megapixel rear camera. There is no front camera on this smartphone. This smartphone is codenamed 'Fame'.

As per Nokianesia, these will be available in the market starting Q2 2013.

Nokia is expected to launch their Lumia 620 smartphone in India in the third week of February. It is expected that this smartphone will well be priced at a sub-Rs. 15,000 price point.

Vipul Mehrotra, Director and Head of Smart Devices, Nokia India decoding the Nokia's naming strategy had revealed that numeral '5' are the most economically priced offering from the company, while the 9 series are the highest of the deck. And the numeral '10' as the suffix connotes that it runs on Windows Phone 7.5 or Windows Phone 7.8, while the '20' is for the Windows Phone 8 devices.

The Nokia Lumia 510 is currently available in India for Rs. 9,999. So it is our hunch that the Windows Phone successor could be priced somewhere around Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 13,000. Similarly Lumia 720 will be a smartphone that will be positioned between the Lumia 620 and Lumia 820 and its price should range between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 25,000. However, as the price difference between the Lumia 610 (Rs. 12,400) and Lumia 710 (Rs. 12,999) is not much, it won't be a surprise if the price of Lumia 720 is indeed slightly more than Lumia 620.
