In a bid to get share of the fast growing smartphone market, IT hardware company Pantel Technologies will be launching three smartphones in the range of Rs. 7,000 to 15,000 early next month. "We will launch three smartphones in the second week of June. The devices will be in the range of Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 15,000," Pantel Technologies Managing Director Vijender Singh told PTI. The company, which started operations in March 2012, is aiming to sell around 50,000 to 60,000 smartphones every month. It is already manufacturing tablet PCs and sold over five lakh devices in a year. "We have tied up with BSNL to offer attractive data plans for the phones also. We already have an arrangement with BSNL for our tablets," Singh said. The soon to be launched phones are of third generation (3G), have Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system and 1GHz processor. Xolo has launched its Q700 smartphone in India for Rs. 9,999. We had reported a week back that Xolo is planning to launch this smartphone, and true to the word, this smartphone is now official. Q700 is also the first smartphone from Xolo to offer Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Internally the Xolo Q700 will pack in 1.2GHz quad-core processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The smartphone also offers 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB. Xolo Q700 comes with a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display. Much like the other smartphones in the Q series, Q700 also deploys the One Glass Solution (OGS) technology. Indian smartphone maker, Videocon Mobile Phones has added another smartphone to its product portfolio - Videocon A27. The Videocon A27 is powered by 1GHz processor alongside 512MB of RAM. There is 2GB of internal storage on this smartphone, which can be expanded by up to 32GB through a microSD card. It is a dual-SIM, dual-Standby smartphone that runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. Videocon A27 sports a 4.0-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen and is powered by 1,500mAh battery. For camera there is a 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, A-GPS and Wi-Fi. The smartphone is available in the market for Rs. 5,999 in two colour options - black and white. Priced at Rs. 11,200, Aqua Style comes with a 5.9-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480X800 pixels. Intex AQUA Style is a dual-SIM smartphone that supports 3G connectivity on one SIM.
