US Cellular will introduce a new Samsung Android smart phone soon. Reportedly called Galaxy Axiom (model number SCH-R830) , the handset looks a lot like the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini that was released earlier this month in Europe. Moreover, its features aren’t too different from what the S III Mini has to offer. Samsung Galaxy Axiom comes with LTE connectivity, a 4 inch WVGA LCD display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory. The handset runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – and will probably be updated to Android Jelly Bean at some point. There is no word on when the Samsung Galaxy Axiom will be available at US Cellular. In any case, it will probably become the carrier’s fifth Galaxy smart phone this year – after the Galaxy S Aviator, the QWERTY-equipped Galaxy Metrix 4G, the Galaxy S III, and the Galaxy Note II.
