Sony Xperia Z smartphone launched in India

Sony Mobiles today announced the launch of its latest, Sony Xperia Z smartphone in theIndian subcontinent which packs in a full-HD 5-inch display with OptiContrast Technology. The Sony Xperia Z is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with2 GB RAM and smartphone arrives with capability to expand it up to 64 GB. The Sony Xperia Z arrives with Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP55 and IP57 which makes the smartphone dust and water resistant. The smartphone has a 13 MP AutoFocus camera with LED Flash on the back of the Xperia Z with Exmor RS sensor and a 2 MP front facing camerafor video chats. Videocon A27 launched with 4-inch display,Android 4.0 ICS for Rs.5,999

Videocon has today announced the launch of a new dual-SIM Android smartphone called the Videocon A27 which packs in a 4-inch display and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The Videocon A27 gets all its processing speed from a powerful 1 GHz Broadcomm processor coupled with 512 MB RAM while the internal memory is pegged at 4 GB which is expandable to 32 GB using a microSD card. The A27 arrives with a 3 MP rear camera while there is a front facing VGA camera for videocalls. The 3G enabled smartphone also packs in Bluetooth v3.0, Wi-Fi GPS connectivity options while the devices comes with pre-installed apps like apps like TOI, ET, Facebook, Saavn, Fun Zone, Movie Studio and more. Sony C680X with 1080p display and Android 4.2 le@ks

S ony is really turning it on this year. After two blockbuster launches at CES 2013, the company has set its sight on mid-range and low-end announcements at the Mobile World Congress later this month. However, that’s not all that Sony is preparing. Leaked results from the HTML5 Test website have revealed yet another high-end device coming from Sony’s stable. The results, which were published on XperiaBlog, show a Sony handset C680X (C6802) that is running Android 4.2 and has a 1920 x 1080 resolution display. The model number suggests that this phone slots higher than the already high-end Xperia Z, which has the model number C660X). The display resolution also suggests that this is likely a flagship going through very-early testing before H2 2013 launch. In late 2012, it appeared that Sony and LG will bow out from the smartphone race. Both the companies were struggling to keep pace with the existing smartphones in the market and it seemed that both these companies had nothing interesting to offer. Samsung started working on the Galaxy Note III,which Monster 6.3-inch screen

The bigger the better seems to be the new mantra of mobile phone makers. Samsung stretched the mobile screens to 5.3-inch with the introduction of its Galaxy Note device and 5.5-inch with the Galaxy Note II. Now, the company seems to be aiming even higher (read bigger). If reports in Korea Times are to be believed, Samsung has already started working on the Galaxy Note III, which is said to have 6.3-inch screen. The world’s biggest technology company has been developing the Galaxy Note III with a 6.3-inch screen using an OLED display, according to officials from a local parts suppliers, while the company will start the first commercial sale of 55-inch OLED TVs from late next year.
