The much rumoured low-cost iPhone might come in a number of colours and is expected to go in trial production if a new report is to be believed. According to Apple focused Japanese blog Macotakara (via MacRumors) the new low-cost iPhone will come in multiple colours. The website cites two sources that suggest different colours for the purported budget iPhone. While one source mentions that it would come in Navy, Gold Orange, White, and Grey colours, the second one suggests White, Pink, Green, Blue, and Yellow orange colours. It's interesting to note that none of them mention a Black colour variant. The site also suggests that the iPhone 5S, the next generation iPhone, is also likely to come in multiple colours including Gold and Green. The Pentagon is expected to clear Apple, Samsung and BlackBerry mobile devices for use on Defense Department networks in the next few weeks, part of an effort to ensure the military has access to the latest communications technology, a spokesman said on Wednesday. The decision will set the stage for an intensified struggle for Pentagon customers among BlackBerry devices, Apple's iPhones or iPads and units using Google's Android platform such as Samsung Electronics' phones. The Pentagon currently has some 600,000 users of smart phones, computer tablets and other mobile devices. The Pentagon unveiled a plan in February aimed at giving the military services a much broader range of choices among mobile devices. The iPad Mini, which was the best-selling iPad of the previous quarter due to the attractivefeatures, is rumoured to be in the process of launching an iPad mini with Retina Display. The next gen iPad mini would feature an even better display resolution. While this was highly speculated for quite some time, images of what seem to be the rear shell casing on the next-gen iPad mini have been found. The images which show both, the insides and outsides of the casing, show a slightly thicker casing compared to the existing iPad mini. The increase in thickness of the casing is mostly attributed to the presence of Retina display and maybe a bigger battery. So should the next-gen iPad mini feature the Retina Display technology, which is currently seen in most Apple devices, then we can expect the resolution to increase to at least 2058 x 1536 pixels at 326 ppi. Nearly a week after promising to fix problems related to iOS devices overloading Exchange servers after being updated to iOS 6.1 due to issues with calendar sync, Apple has released the iOS 6.1.2 update to resolve the glitch. The update is available for iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S,iPhone 5, all iPads following iPad 2 and all iPod touch devices after the 4th generation iPod touch. The size of the update for the iPhone 4S was 11.5MB, while it was 12.8MB on the iPhone 5.Apple clearly states in the update notification screen, “This update fixes an Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life.” The update can be downloaded over the air on the iOS devices or via iTunes on computers. Apple has slashed the price of entry-level Retina MacBook Pro and top of the line MacBook Air model. The 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display with 128GB SSD storage and 8GB RAM alongside 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor gets a hefty Rs. 15,000 price tag and will now retail for Rs. 99,900 compared to the earlier price of Rs. 114,900. Multiple online and offline retailers have confirmed that the units are now available, though the 21.5-inch iMac especially is in “limited numbers” as per one of the dealers.                                                      The Apple iPhone 5 is just hitting many a few countries and the rumours around the probable upgrade for the 4-inch smartphone have already begun. And if the latest rumours doing the rounds are to be believed, the upgrade will be called as the iPhone5S and will out as early as in June.
