HTC M7 has become one of the most anticipated launches this year, courtesy the innumerable leaks and rumours over the past couple of months. Now the Taiwanese manufacturer has put out a rather bizarre looking teaser that seems to be associated with the device on a German forum.

The image released shows a cybernetic heart attached to a mother board circuit as if pumping life into it. The tag line reads as "ALIVE SOON". It isn't quite the conventional way to tease a new device but nevertheless it looks very unique and is certainly grabbing the eyeballs.

HTC is expected to host an event in New York on February 19 where we are likely to witness the unveiling of the company's next flagship.

The teaser is just a visual offering no textual details. It seems as if we know a lot about the smartphone and yet we know nothing. But the device's existence has been confirmed by CEO Peter Chou who was spotted in a video that was shot at a recent end-of-year party in Taipei broadcast by Taiwan's NextTV. Chou even thanked the HTC M7 team for working overtime in recent weeks. He was also seen holding a white HTC M7 with which he took pictures of the audience.

More recent rumours on the HTC M7 suggest that the smartphone is going to give the megapixel era a run for its money by sparking a new ultra pixel trend. The device will feature a camera that will be made up of three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers, which will be combined to give a resulting single image. The pictures clicked with this camera would therefore be crisper, cleaner and have a better colour accuracy. HTC is claiming that it will be offering new sound and camera experience in 2013.

As far as pricing goes, the HTC M7 is expected to go on sale in UK from March 8 and will be available in the UK and European markets before it find its way to United States.

A quick look at the specs recap, the M7 is expected to come with 4.7-inch 1080p display. Other rumoured specifications suggest that this smartphone may have are 13-megapixel rear shooter, a 1.7GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and run on Android 4.2 skinned with a layer of the brand new Sense 5.0 UI.

Apart from the HTC M7, other reports are suggesting that the company is also expected to launch two more devices soon, currently codenamed HTC M4 and HTC G2. The M4 is another premium smartphone, which will be one notch below the HTC M7 and will come with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon SoC with 2GB RAM running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), along with Sense 5.0.

The HTC M4 will have a 4.3-inch screen which supports resolution of 720p, a 13-megapixel rear camera and 32GB of internal storage. It will also include LTE support.

The HTC G2 is likely to be an entry-level device with a 3.5-inch screen with HVGA display, 512MB RAM and a 5-megapixel camera. This smartphone will boast a 1GHz processor and run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
