LG announces Optimus F7 and Optimus F5 ahead of MWC

LG has announced two new smartphones in its F-Series - Optimus F7 and Optimus F5. The Korean smartphone maker had been teasing about the launch of a new series through teaser videos andFacebook posts. However, it was expected that this series will see the light of day at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013. Clearly the company could not wait a week more. Both LG Optimus F7 and Optimus F5 are 4G LTE smartphones that run on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). LG Optimus F5 features a 4.3-inch IPS display with a pixel density of 256ppi. It runs on a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage and 2,150mAh battery. For camera, there is a 5-megapixel rear shooter and 1.3-megapixel one on the front. Optimus F7 on the other hand offers a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display and a pixel density of 312ppi. At the upcoming Mobile World Congress ( MWC ) 2013 which is scheduled to be held next week, LG is expected to unveil a range of smartphones under the L, F , V and G series which the company has been teasing lately.                       While we have already seen the LG Optimus L3 II, L5 II and the L7 II go official, popular and trustworthy leakster, @Evleaks has today posted the images of the 2 upcoming smartphonefrom the LG Optimus F series namely the LG Optimus F7 and the LG Optimus L5. The F-Series is being attributed to Freedom – or whatever that mean and currently the details on the specifications of the two smartphones are scarce but going by the images, it seems that the smartphones will arrive with a 4 and 4.3-inch display and carry a front-facingcamera. LG unveils Optimus L Series II series of smartphones, dual-SIM L7 II first to launch

J ust a day ago we reported that LG is expected to announce sequels to its current Optimus L Series devices at the Mobile World Congress later this month. It looks like the Korean manufacturer couldn't wait that long and has officially announced the next generation L Series II smartphones - the Optimus L3 II, Optimus L5 II and Optimus L7 II. The Korean manufacturer claims that has built upon the widely successful L Series smartphones that sold more than 10 million units in the first 10 months, to include "contemporary design aesthetics and innovations that improve on the original". In that regard, LG says it has introduced four new design elements incorporating a Seamless Layout, Laser Cut Contour, Radiant Rear Design and Smart LED Lighting on the home button. Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 specifications leak online

N okia is expected to launch two more Lumia smartphones in the near future. These smartphones are dubbed Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 and are expected to see the light of the day at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013. Nokianesia via postel.go.id has reported that Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 have recently passed certification from Directorate Post & Telecommunication Indonesia, which is an equivalent of FCC in Indonesia. Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 are being touted as the successors of Nokia Lumia 710 and Lumia 510 respectively. My Nokia Blog has been tipped by an anonymous tipster that The Lumia 720, which is codenamed Zeal will have 4.3-inch ClearBlack display, 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage. LG Optimus L3 II, Optimus L5 II and Optimus L7 II specs leaked ahead of MWC

LG recently teased us with an image on its Facebook page along with the tagline "New series will be unveiled", which was followed by an "unlimited possibilities" video.  Now folks over at TuttoAndroid, an Italian blog, have managed to grab hold of the specs on three smartphones from the Korean manufacturer's budget L-Series, which are likely to be the Optimus L3 II (LG E430), L5 II (LG-E455) and L7 II (LG-P715).  The blog mentions that the L3 II will feature an upgraded 5-megapixel camera, though the device will come with the same 3.2-inch display (320 x 240 resolution) as seen on the Optimus L3. Other specs include A-GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The L5 II is expected to feature a higher screen resolution and a faster processor. Samsung announces Galaxy Young with Android 4.1 ahead of MWC

W e've seen the Samsung Galaxy Young as part of the company's Galaxy product roadmap for 2013amongst other devices. The Korean manufacturer has announced the Galaxy Young ahead of the Mobile World Congress scheduled for later this month. As of now, there is no word on pricing and availability of the device, though the earlier leaked roadmap hints at an April 2013 availability. Measuring 58.6x109.4x12.5 mm and weighing 112 grams, the Galaxy Young is a mid-range offering from Samsung. It features a 3.27-inch HVGA TFT display that runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It comes with a 3-megapixel rear camera. It is powered by a 1GHz processor alongside 768MB RAM. There's 4GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot with support for up to 64GB. Samsung Galaxy Q with foldable display rumoured to launch at MWC

We already know that Samsung is planning to launch multiple devices this year and the Mobile World Congress sets the perfect stage for the company to showcase some of its devices as part of its 2013 lineup. Here's another one that's added to that list. Rumour has it that the Korean electronics giant could debut the Galaxy Q, a new smartphone that features a foldable display, reports SlashGear. Samsung unveiled its Youm flexible display technology at CES last month and it is likely to feature on the Galaxy Q. MobileGeeks.de seems to have been tipped of some GLBenchmark tests of a device with the model number GT-B9150. The results apparently match the Galaxy Q, indicating that the folding phone with dual 1080p displays (earlier sightings revealed 720p displays) is not far away from launch. Move over megapixels, HTC to launch 4.3 'ultrapxiel' camera sensor with M7: Report

HTC is expected to launch its next flagship smartphone M7 at an event on February 19. The device has been in the news for quite some time now. According to Pocket-Lint, HTC M7's camera will ditch megapixels and will have something that the company dubs as "ultrapixels." It was earlier rumoured that M7 will come aboard with a 13-megapixel rear shooter. However, Pocket-Lint claims that this smartphone will feature a camera that will be made up of three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers, which will be combined to give a resulting single image. It is expected that the pictures clicked through this camera would be crisper, cleaner and have a better colour accuracy. This technique is also adopted by Sigma in the Foveon X3 sensor. In 2012, we had seen Nokia experiment with their camera sensor on Nokia 808 PureView smartphone and the result was 41-megapixel monster.
