Lava launches IRIS 454 and IRIS 502 Android smartphones

The Indian smartphone maker Lava has launched two new smartphones under its IRIS range. First up is the Lava IRIS 454, which comes with a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is a dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) smartphone. Lava IRIS 454 comes with 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM. The internal storage available on the device is 2GB and can be further expanded through a microSD card. For camera, there is an 8-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi. Lava IRIS 454 comes with a 1,650mAh battery. Lenovo launch three new Android tablets “Lenovo A1000, A3000 & S6000″

Lenovo has at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) announced the launch of three newAndroid tablets called the Lenovo A1000, A3000 and the S6000, all running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.                                  The Lenovo A1000 and the A3000 both arrive with a 7-inch IPS display and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. As part of the Mobile World Congress, Nokia launched four devices to display their latestinnovations without compromising on the price tag. Rumoured : Apple process of launching an iPad mini with Retina Display

The iPad Mini, which was the best-selling iPad of the previous quarter due to the attractivefeatures, is rumoured to be in the process of launching an iPad mini with Retina Display. The next gen iPad mini would feature an even better display resolution. While this was highly speculated for quite some time, images of what seem to be the rear shell casing on the next-gen iPad mini have been found. The images which show both, the insides and outsides of the casing, show a slightly thicker casing compared to the existing iPad mini. The increase in thickness of the casing is mostly attributed to the presence of Retina display and maybe a bigger battery. Apple releases iOS 6.1.2 to fix an Exchange calendar syncing bug

Nearly a week after promising to fix problems related to iOS devices overloading Exchange servers after being updated to iOS 6.1 due to issues with calendar sync, Apple has released the iOS 6.1.2 update to resolve the glitch. The update is available for iPhone 3GS, 4 and 4S,iPhone 5, all iPads following iPad 2 and all iPod touch devices after the 4th generation iPod touch. The size of the update for the iPhone 4S was 11.5MB, while it was 12.8MB on the iPhone 5.Apple clearly states in the update notification screen, “This update fixes an Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life.” The update can be downloaded over the air on the iOS devices or via iTunes on computers. HTC One official with 4.7-inch full-HD display, 'UltraPixel' camera

HTC Tuesday announced the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, the HTC One. The specifications and design are pretty much in line with what we'd seen in several leaks over the past few weeks. The HTC One comes with a 4.7-inch full-HD display with 468 pixels per inch packed in an aluminium unibody. It is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor alongside 2GB of RAM. Canonical unveils Ubuntu OS Google’s Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets

After announcing the Ubuntu OS for smartphone, Canonical has now extended the operating system to tablets as well. The Touch Developers Preview for this operating system will beavailable from February 21 on Ubuntu’s developer site, and it will run on Google’s Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets. Canonical had been teasing the launch of this operating system on its website. As per the company’s claims, Ubuntu for tablets will be able to support screen sizes ranging from6-inches to 20-inches, and screen resolutions varying from 100 to 450 ppi.
