Facebook V2.0 Android app,2 times Faster than ever

The Facebook for Android app was not as great as it should have been for these many days but todayFacebook has announced that its app for Android devices has gone native and is now faster than ever.

The Facebook for Android app has jumped to version 2.0 is said to be twice as fast when users look at the the photos, open their Timeline and the most important of all, considerable improvement in thelaunch time of the app.

With the version 2.0, Facebook has rebuilt the news feed, notifications, messages and Timeline for speed. Now you can also view photos instantly and tapping on any photo will open it right away and users can scroll through photo albums without leaving news feed.

We have personally used the app and have fallen in love with the much-needed speed improvements. You can download the upgraded app from the Google Play Store.

Idea launches ID 920, Aurus III smartphones

Idea has launched two new 3G-enabled smartphones, Idea ID 920 and Idea Aurus III for Rs. 4,950 and Rs. 6,990 respectively. The Idea ID 920 is an entry-level dual-SIM Android 3G Smartphone, targeted at first time data users in semi-urban markets. It's powered by a 1GHz processor, has 256MB RAM and sports a 3.5-inch capacitive touch display that has a resolution of 320x480 pixels. The phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is an old version of the OS. It features a 2-megapixel rear camera and offers internal storage capacity of 512MB expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
