Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S III had started rolling out in India.
After the roll-out began, it was reported that many users who got the upgrade faced some issues with the new OS and so Samsung went on to halt the roll-out.
And today, Samsung has officially announced that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS is now rolling out to all the Galaxy S III owners in India and if you still haven’t got a notification for the upgrade, you can check for it manually by selecting Setting –> About Device –>Software Update –> Update.
The update weighs about 290 MB and is available both Over-the-Air (OTA) and through Samsung Kies application for PC.
The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade brings in loads of TouchWiz improvements and the new OS includes features like a redesigned notification shade, improved search, Google Now, buttery-smooth usage thanks to Project butter, Android Beam and more.
So if you own a Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, then upgrade your smartphone with the new OS and enjoy some JB love.
