Acer Windows RT Tablet
On October 30 this year Techcrunch reported “Originally, Acer was going to launch Windows RT tablets in the first quarter of 2013, but the company is wisely going to sit on the sidelines a bit and watch the market’s reaction to other WinRT tabs — most notably the Microsoft Surface.”
One of the first company which criticized Microsoft for moving into the computer hardware business and competing with its partners’ devices was Acer. According to a Reuters report the President of Acer Jim Wong has said last month “research and development for the Windows RT tablets was still moving forward but that the company had many questions to address with regards to manufacturing and pricing”.
iPhone 5S
To follow the rumors, the Cupertino based iOS and Mac company Apple Inc is working on the new iPhone or “iPhone 5S”. The production is expected to start as early as Q1 2013, according to new rumors mentioned in CIOL.
Webpronews mentions Ed Valdez at Technorati who made the case that the device will launch by June 2013, citing six reasons. He says “Apple needs the WOW factor: In order to re-capture the imagination of Apple fans, it’s time for Apple to ‘think different’ from its past product release trends.”
The iPhojne6newsblog mentions “With the iPad 4, it now has the A6X chip, improved graphics, improved wireless, and the lightning port. Why then would it be impossible to imagine that the next iPhone — maybe not the 6, but a refreshed iPhone 5S — couldn’t be released at the WWDC in June of 2013?”
Firefox OS smartphones
“The first Firefox OS-powered smartphones are expected to arrive in 2013 and telecoms equipment makers Alcatel-Lucent and ZTE are the first manufacturers signed up to make the new phones” reported SiliconRepublic this week.

“Consumers who use devices powered by Firefox OS won’t be locked into one specific platform giving them more choice, flexibility and freedom. With Firefox OS, the Web is the platform” says Mozilla about this new operating system.
Jelly Bean operating system based devices
In Indian market we also expect some new launches of tablet and smartphone devices running the latest 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. We can expect new products from Micromax, Lava, Zen, Karbonn running this operating system. Most of these companies have this year launched devices running the Ice cream sandwich operating system.
