Lava launches Xolo A700 Android smartphone for Rs 9,999

The Lava Xolo A700 comes as a great device for budget conscious users.

Indian mobile phone manufacturer, Lava Mobiles has launched a brand new smartphone under its Xolo brand. Called as the Lava Xolo A700, the Android smartphone comes as a feature rich yet budget friendly offering with a price tag of Rs 9,999. 

The Xolo A700 is Lava's second Android smartphone under the Xolo brand name, called the Xolo X900; first one being launched in collaboration with Intel with Atom processor. 

The device will be launched under the latest ‘A’ series, which is based on ARM processors.Competing with other Android devices from other brands like Micromax and Samsung, the Lava Xolo A700 comes with a 1 GHz dual core processor from Mediatek, which is complimented with a powerful graphic processor as well. The Lava Xolo A700 has Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of onboard storage which can be expanded further to an additional 32 GB with the use of a micro SD card. 

The Xolo A700 has a 4.5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display featuring a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, which is the best part about this device. Along with that the Lava Xolo A700 features dual SIM connectivity based design with both 3G and 2.5G connectivity based connections available through master and slave SIM's respectively. 

The Lava Xolo A700 comes with in-built stereo FM radio receiver along with that it has a multi format audio video player integrated as well. There is a 5 megapixel main camera with an LED flash for illumination and supports HD video recording with up to 720p resolution. At the front there is a secondary camera available to facilitate video calling and video chats in VGA resolution only.
