HTC One with bigger screen to launch soon: Report

With large screen phones being the current rage, it looks like HTC is also about to ride the bandwagon and launch a big-screen variant of its flagship smartphone, the HTC One. According to a report by Pocket-lint, HTC will be launching a new phone that will have the same specifications as the HTC One, but will sport a bigger screen. It cites sources familiar with the development to report that the screen size of the phone will be above 5.0-inches but below 6.0-inches. The report also talks about the much rumoured mini version of the HTC One, Codenamed, M4, and reiterates that it will sport a 4.3-inch screen. Samsung Galaxy Young officially launched for Rs. 8,010

After the launch of Galaxy Star last week, Samsung has launched yet another budget Android smartphone - Samsung Galaxy Young. The phone that was announced in February, has been available on online retailers for a while now. However, it is now officially available on the Samsung e-store for Rs. 8,010. The dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 1GHz processor and has 728 MB RAM. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports a 3-megapixel camera. With a 3.27-inch display, it is slightly bigger than the Galaxy Star and has a resolution of 320x480 pixels. It comes with 4GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 64GB and has a 1,300mAh battery. The device comes with the Samsung TouchWiz UI. Nokia Lumia 920 gets a price cut, now available for Rs. 32,629

Soon after the global launch of the Nokia Lumia 925, Nokia has now slashed the price of its current flagship device in the market, the Nokia Lumia 920 (Review | Pictures). The device that was priced at Rs 38,199 when launched in January, can now be purchased for Rs 32,639 on the Nokia Shop online. Powered by a 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, the phone also comes bundled with a free wireless charger worth Rs. 3,999. The Windows Phone 8 device has received rave reviews in the past, specifically for the camera and particularly its low-light performance. Pantel Technologies to launch three Android smartphones starting Rs. 7,000

In a bid to get share of the fast growing smartphone market, IT hardware company Pantel Technologies will be launching three smartphones in the range of Rs. 7,000 to 15,000 early next month. "We will launch three smartphones in the second week of June. The devices will be in the range of Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 15,000," Pantel Technologies Managing Director Vijender Singh told PTI. The company, which started operations in March 2012, is aiming to sell around 50,000 to 60,000 smartphones every month. It is already manufacturing tablet PCs and sold over five lakh devices in a year. "We have tied up with BSNL to offer attractive data plans for the phones also. Maxx Mobile has launched two Android smartphones, the AX8 Race and AX9Z Race for Rs. 8,875 and Rs. 12,375, respectively. The Maxx AX8 Race is a dual-SIM (3G+GSM) smartphone that features a 5-inch capacitive touch display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1GHz single-core MediaTek Processor and has 512MB RAM. It offers 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. Celkon Signature One A107 and A9+ budget Android phones launched

The Indian smartphone maker Celkon has launched two budget Android phones in the market. The Celkon Signature One A107 comes with a 5-inch capacitive display and has a resolution of 480X800 pixels. It carries a price tag of Rs. 6,999 and the company is giving a free flip cover along with the purchase of this phablet. It is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB RAM. The internal storage available on this device is a scanty 512MB, but it can be further expanded by up to 32GB through a microSD card. Much like the other budget phones being launched, this one too supports dual-SIM capabilities. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). HTC launches dual-SIM Desire 600 with quad-core processor, BlinkFeed

HTC has announced the launch of Desire 600, a dual-SIM (dual-active) smartphone that offers HTC's latest Sense 5 experience including BlinkFeed and BoomSound, most recently launched as part of the HTC One (Review | Pictures). HTC Desire 600 sports a 4.5-inch Super LCD2 display of 540x960 resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor alongside 1GB of RAM alongside 8GB of expandable storage. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing 1.6-megapixel shooter.
