HTC’s event, where the Taiwanese company is going to launch the HTC One or M7 as it is also known is mere hours away, but rumors and image leaks haven’t stopped trickling in. After the recent image leak where the phone was seen in both black and white avatars, the folks at No Where Else have now come across a set of press images of the One that show the back of the phone for the very first time.

From the photo it looks like the back of the HTC One is also set to get a matte finish like the one seen on the HTC Butterfly. Another interesting bit is the side placement of the flash so close to the massive lens.

To recap on the specifications of the HTC One/M7 then, the phone is expected to come with a4.7-inch 1080p SoLux display, powered by 1.7GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. It will also feature a 4.3 ultrapixels or 13-megapixel rear camera, 32GB of internal storage andAndroid 4.2 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.0. The phone is expected to will reach markets around the first week of March and will be available in black and white color variants.

The event is set to begin at 15:00 GMT (8:30pm IST) today and besides the launch of the flagship model,Canonical is set to announce Ubuntu for tablets, which could point to the fact that HTC might be the official hardware partners.
