Indian handset maker, Zen Mobile has launched Zen Ultrafone 701 HD, a 5-inch budget Android smartphone that's powered by a quad-core processor for Rs. 11,999. The Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and has 1GB of RAM. The dual-SIM phone features a 5-inch display that has a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The launch was first reported by FoneArena. The smartphone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean an comes with some pre-embeded apps including Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a BSI sensor, and a 3.2-megapixel front facing shooter. The phone offers 4GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded to 32GB via microSD card. Samsung is all set to launch its Galaxy S4 smartphone in India on April 26. The Korean smartphone maker has already started sending out invites for the launch. It is noteworthy, that Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy S4 in some other countries on the same date. NDTV Gadgets has learnt from its sources that the phone is likely to be priced at Rs. 43,490. Samsung is expected to take a leaf from HTC's book and market the phone carrying this as the 'best buy' price tag, though there's no confirmation of this yet. This will peg the Galaxy S4 at a slightly higher price tag than HTC One's Rs. 42,900, but given Samsung's wider dealer network, marketing clout and brand value in the country, that may not make much of a difference. Indian handset maker Byond Technologies has launched Phablet PI in India. The Byond Phablet PI packs in 5.3-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) IPS capacitive touchscreen display. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. The phablet offers 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB through a microSD card. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). There is a 2,000mAh battery on-board, which as per the company gives three to five hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. Byond Phablet PI features an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Just like the other Byond phablets, this one too, is dual-SIM offering.
